1. It is requester’s responsibility to provide all necessary information requested in the testing request form. Requester shall ensure that all the information provided are accurate and true to his/her knowledge. The laboratory takes responsibility for all the information provided in the report, except when information is provided by the customer. Data provided by the customer will be clearly identified in the report. In addition, a disclaimer will be put on the report when the information is supplied by the customer and can affect the validity of results.
2. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C will review the request received and we will accept the request if we have the capability and resources to meet the requirements.
3. The right to decline or accept the item submitted for testing lies on M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C. If the request is rejected, we will inform the customer about the reason for rejection. Any such rejection may happen due to insufficient sample volume, the weight is less than one-gram, incorrect sample type, contamination, lack of resources to perform the test, unforeseen situations that prevent us from performing the tests, improper identification or missing identification or mismatch in information provided.
4. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C takes responsibility for the management of all information obtained or created during the performance of laboratory activities. Except for information that the customer makes publicly available, or when agreed between the laboratory and the customer all other information is considered proprietary information and will be regarded as confidential.
5. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C will maintain the confidentiality of information regarding services rendered to customers at all times.
6. When M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C is required by law or authorized by contractual arrangements to release confidential information, the customer or individual concerned will be notified of the information provided; unless it is prohibited by law to do so.
7. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C reserves the right to do the sampling as per laboratory’s sampling plan. Laboratory will not allow any deviation from the sampling plan.
8. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C recommends the requester to provide the test items without gemstone. We do not take responsibility for any sort of damage or loss of gemstones while it is under our custody.
9. If the samples are collected and submitted by the requester, MPC Gold laboratory L.L.C does not take any responsibility for ensuring the appropriateness of the sampling method used. Where the laboratory is not responsible for the sampling stage, we will state in the report that the results apply to the sample as received.
10. An unique alphanumeric reference code along with logo will be laser marked on the test item sampled. If the same item is to be tested again with separate reference code, any marking provided previously shall be removed by the customer.
11. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C will make every effort to issue the report by the date committed. There could be changes to this if the test is repeated or if there arise any unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C shall not be held responsible for any such delays in issuing the report.
12. Under exceptional circumstances the testing request may be cancelled. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C will inform the customer if the expected reporting date is changed or the request is cancelled.
13. Only the requester or the person authorized by the requester can submit & collect the samples and test report.
14. The customer or the person authorized by the customer shall make the necessary payment prior to collecting the report.
15. If the customer needs any corrections or amendments to the test report then the same shall be brought to the notice of M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C within ten (10) days from the date of the issue of test report.
16. The total weight mentioned in the test report Should be used only as a reference weight.
17. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C takes no responsibility on the item(s) once it is returned to the customer;
18. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C will retain the items submitted for testing only for 30 days from the date of issue of the report. After that the item will be disposed by M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C. It is customer’s responsibility to ensure that the item is collected back immediately after testing.
19. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any belongings left unattended on its premises.
20. The customer shall understand and accept the test method ( ISO 11426:2021 E or ISO 13756:2015 E ) and Sampling method ( BS ISO 11596:2021);
21. If the laboratory is accredited, the accredited tests will be conducted and reported according to the scope and criteria of accredited bodies. Tests conducted outside the scope of accreditation and test method will be reported as unaccredited test.
22. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C will melt all ornaments for Fire Assay Testing. The scrap gold will be returned to the customer along with the test report.
23. Sample submitted for melting to the laboratory should not exceed more than 50 grams each;
24. In the event of loss of integrity of the sample while melting, the customer should provide an identical item to be tested;
25. The Laboratory does not take any responsibility of the loss of sample during melting or preparation;
26. The result contained in the test report will apply only to the sample tested;
27. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C does not provide opinions or interpretations with respect to the test results.
28. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C does not provide any statement of conformity with respect to the test method.
29. M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C does not take any responsibility for any sort of damage on the item(s) which is caused while preparing the item(s) for testing.
30. The XRF Analysis Report relate only to the item(s) submitted and does not, in anyhow, represent any item(s) directly or indirectly identical to the item(s) tested;
31. Claims regarding product integrity with respect to the purity are limited only to the item(s) submitted to M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C and make no representation whatever as to the status of the balance of the lot;
32. The purity stated in XRF Analysis Report is only an approximate purity of precious metal on the surface of the item(s) and does not guarantee the overall purity of the item(s); therefore, it shall not be employed for any form of commercial trade or transaction.
33. Off-site sampling will be done only by the authorized sampler upon the approval of Laboratory manger;
34. All off-site sampling will be conducted as per the sampling procedure established by M P C Gold Laboratory L.L.C;
35. If an off-site sampling is required, the customer should inform the Laboratory about the time, date, place and number of samples well in advance through email and provide adequate space and facilities for sampling;
36. Customer shall sign a contract for all off-site sampling prior to sampling;
37. For all off-site sampling the laboratory will pack and seal the sample from the sampling location in a suited container and will request customer to deliver the samples to the testing laboratory. Laboratory will not take any responsibility for the loss or damage of the samples during transportation by the customer.
38. Off-site sampling will be performed at a registered address of companies with a valid license.
39. The laboratory will maintain all the records including Test Reports for a period of three years from the date of issue of test report, beyond which these records will be disposed;
40. The Silver test requires drawing a minimum of 3 grams from the test item which will be held in the Laboratory for the entire duration of the test. Depending on the purity of the silver test item, a minimum of 0.6 grams of the sample will be used as test portion. This will not be returned to the client.
41. Silver test items containing palladium will be rejected.
42. Silver will be tested using ISO 13756:2015(E) – Potentiometric method. Silver test is not part of the Laboratory’s scope of accreditation.
